HELP HAITI
Supplies for Children in a Haitian Pediatrics Ward
On January 13, PACÉ called an emergency meeting and donated $500 to PIH for Earthquake relief.
On January 25, PACÉ received word from Mona Gedeon who is currently working in the pediatric ward of a small hospital in Port-Au-Prince. She has asked for help in caring for more than 50 children, ages 16 days old and up. She needs diapers, wipes, formula, non-perishable food and clothes.
On January 31, PACÉ working with Oxfam, the Moores and others we raised nearly $6,000 in less then a week that was used to buy supplies for the pediatric ward in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
February 5-10, Supplies were purchased in Florida, packaged and dropped off at a local Miami shipping port, which PIH was using to store/inventory supplies being shipped for the earthquake victims. Supplies were shipped through PIH and Mona received all of the supplies by the 10th! She sent an e-mail of joy and relief that stated "I am so happy for my kids, please thank all of the good people who helped me".
