See what your donation will do
How You Can Help
Our responsibility is not to do everything, but simply to do something.
Change does not happen overnight, but if we all take the time to do what we can - big or small - change WILL happen. Bridgeforhaiti.org is a volunteer initiative for Partners In Health. All donations will go directly to PIH and be used to fund building materials, labor and equipment.
Please consider giving what you can - when measured in lives, every contribution counts.
All donations are tax-deductible.
How to donate
Donations can be made online at PIH's secure donation page or by mail.
For online donations, please read the following direction to ensure that your funds go directly to the bridge project, then click here to go directly to the PIH site:
- Once on the PIH donation page, complete your donor information, then select "Haiti: Zanmi Lasante" from the drop-down menu under Program.
- Check the box that says: This donation is part of a fundraiser or special event
- In the Honoree/Special Event box, type "Boucan Carre Bridge"
To mail-in your donation, go to the PIH Donation Page and download the mail-in form.
What to donate
Whether donating $25 or $25,000, your contribution counts. Already, friends of bridgeforhaiti.org have thought of creative ways to give. For example:
- One friend donated his family's economic stimulus package
- A couple gave a $1,000 donation in lieu of party favors at their wedding
- A church raised several thousand dollars through a pancake supper and designated offerings
- A friend organized a benefit concert event at a local restaurant
- One supporter has petitioned for funding from a large U.S. based international engineering company.
- A member of a large church has written a proposal to obtain funds from the global outreach committee
Here are some other ways you can give:
- Set up a monthly online gift by selecting "monthly" under the "Frequency" heading on the PIH donation page
- Make a donation as part of your church tithe/giving
- Contact strategic members at your workplace and get company involvement, such as fund matching or corporate social responsibility giving
- Start a donation pool among your friends at work or school
